Been working on my weight
for 55 years now,
and so far,
I’ve lost 1500 pounds.
Walked a lot,
worked both sides of the street.
Ate a lot of tofu,
but that just gummed up the works.
Worked out, worked off, worked through dinner,
still a struggle.
Made every effort, every endeavor, exerted like mad,
shot the works with what I had.
