Adage for today:

Never mistake caffeine

For enthusiasm

show us reality,

neither human

nor divine.

Love is otherworldly,

but heartbreak is too much

of the planet.

ten thousand joys

and ten thousand sorrows.

Sometimes when I wake,

it’s too, too dark, but I know

the light is coming.

Sometimes I go

the extra mile,

others sitting still,

writing my poems.

Why do the French bother

with all those letters

when they don’t pronounce them?
